Abstract:

The objective of this work is to evaluate the quality of Vastrapur lake water. Regional and seasonal variation of some physicochemical parameters such as (pH, Turbidity, Electrical conductivity, Total dissolve solid, and some of the chemical parameter such as Alkalinity, Dissolve oxygen, Biological oxygen demand, Total Hardness, Calcium, Magnesium, Chloride, Carbon dioxide, Sulphate, Nitrate and Phosphate. The study was carried out from March 2018 to February 2019. Some of the variation found during the analysis was as a result of human activity and the discharge of waste water to the lake. If the present condition continue for the longer period, Vastrapur lake may soon become ecological inactive.
