RURAL RETAIL MARKETING : MODERNIZATION AND CREATIVITY

The paper focuses on rural marketing: modernization & creativity. Marketers’ make consistent attempts to innovate tools and strategies to overcome the challenges they face in the business arena. Business innovations are broadly classified under two heads, namely Product / Service modernization. Marketer need to design creative solutions to overcome challenges   typical of the rural environment. Such as physical distribution, channel management, promotion and communication. The paper most importantly attempts to inform that India's rural markets offer a sea of opportunity.

A STUDY ON THE PATTERN OF USAGE OF MOBILE PHONES AMONG COMMERCE COLLEGE STUDENTS IN SURAT

The Indian mobile telecommunications market has been growing at a very fast pace. Over the years, young consumer’s demand has become even more mature and   sophisticated. By doing an empirical study, this thesis provides a snapshot of the Indian youth market for mobile phones. The research work focuses on the usage of mobile phones by students in three commerce colleges of  Surat. Primary data is used for the study. It was collected with the help of pre-structured questionnaire. Statistical techniques like Weighted Average Score and Likert scale was used to analyze the data.

A STUDY OF IMPACT OF NEW EVALUATION SYSTEM ON TEACHERS WORKLOAD AND TEACHING EFFECTIVENESS

Evaluation is goal directed, and educational outcomes are judged in terms of goal attainment. Every educational Programme should aim for the all round development of the personality of the child. Therefore, the learning Experiences provided in the school should contribute toward the achievement of the desired goals. A teacher, while deciding about the related learning experience should see both scholastic and co-scholastic outcomes as desirable behavioral outcomes of that Programme. The scope of evaluation in schools extends to almost all the areas of learners' personality development.

A STUDY OF THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF DECENTRALIZED MANAGEMENT AT THE MAHARAJA SAYAJIRAO UNIVERSITY OF BARODA, VADODARA

As per the UGC policy frame in 1978, teaching, research and extension are the three basic academic activities of the universities, which should be given equal status.  Management is required to perform these functions effectively. The effectiveness of education depends largely on how well it is managed. Management consists of getting things done through others; a manager is one who accomplishes objectives by directing the efforts of others. Managing the modern education system is very complex and that too from a single position and/or location.

EFFECTIVENESS OF WORD-CARD AS A SELF-LEARNING TECHNIQUE WITH REFERENCE TO TEACHING OF STATISTICS

The present study was designed to construct the work card material for ‘Permutation Combination’ unit related to the subject Statistics of standard 11th and it’s effectiveness on the achievement in context’s of student’s gender.

SYNTHESIS AND STUDIES OF SOME QUINOLINE BASED MONOAZO DISPERSE DYES

Various disperse dyes have been prepared by coupling various diazotized coupling components with 2,4 - dihydroxy-6-methyl quinoline. All the dyes were characterized by their percentage yield and elemental analysis. IR, H1 NMR, CMR of some selected synthesized compounds have been carried out. Their dyeing performance were assessed on polyester fabric.  The percentage dye bath exhaustion were found to be good and acceptable. The dyed fibres showed poor to fairly good light fastness and good to excellent wash fastness.

CREATIVITY, INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Creativity is the ability to develop new ideas and to discover new ways of looking at problems and opportunities.

Innovation is the ability to apply creative solutions to problems and opportunities to enhance or to enrich people’s life.

Harvard’s Theodore Levitt says that “creativity is the thinking new things, and innovation is doing new things.” Entrepreneurs become successful by thinking and doing new things or old things in new ways.

AEROBIC MICROBIAL DEGRADATION OF M-CRESOL

Wastewater or sewage sludge is a complex mixture of organic and inorganic compound. Cresol is one of the major constituents found in waste water. Cresol being toxic/ carcinogenic for aquatic and terrestrial animals including humans, removal of these compounds to sufficiently low levels in wastewater is of great importance. The major disadvantages with the available conventional treatments are cost involved in disposal of the final effluent, production of toxic intermediates, and incomplete mineralization of the compounds.

A Software To Calculate Crystalline Size By Debye-Scherrer Formula Using VB.NET

X-Ray diffraction is a tool for the investigation of the fine structure of matter. Initially X-Ray diffraction was used only for the determination of crystal structure but now a days the data from X-ray diffraction have also been  used to determine the crystalline size using Debye-Scherrer formula.  Generally one has to deal with limited data because of laborious and time consuming manual methods of calculation. Sometime calculations with lots of data are required in order to determine different crystalline sizes for the statistical analysis or other applications.

EXTRACTION BIAS DEPENDENT PARAMETERS OF NON IDEAL SCHOTTKY DIODE

More than three decades Schottky diodes (rectifying contacts) are widely used in power industry. It is a majority carrier device where minority carrier storage is usually not important. As a result Schottky device have very high switching speeds with minor forward voltage drop making them ideal for output stages of switching power supplies.  Here in this paper the In/p-Si Schottky diode showed non ideal I-V behaviour with an ideality factor 2.12. It may be thought a metal-interface layer-semiconductor (MIS) configuration.
