A Study of Vocational Preference of Higher Secondary School Students of Anand City

Vocation selection is one of many important choices students will make in determining future plans. This decision will impart them throughout their lives. The preferences of vocations have been a serious problem among the higher secondary school students. A lot of students in higher secondary schools believe that their future is a glorious adventure in which they are bound to succeed. Planning for tomorrow itself is primarily the responsibilities of the parents, teachers and school teachers. Students need general orientation into the world of work through the curriculum.

Self-Esteem and Academic Achievement of Prospective Student Teachers in Tiruvannamalai District

The present study dealt with the relationship between self-esteem and academic achievement of prospective student teachers, and also examined the differences among them in self-esteem and academic achievement with respect to demographic variables. Fifty Prospective student teachers from Balaji College of Education in Tiruvannamalai District was drawn as sample for the study. a scale on Self-esteem developed by K.N.SHARMA was used to measure the level of  Self-esteem of prospective Student teachers and academic achievement score was taken from their academic performance in colleges.

Development and try-out of a Role Play Programme in Social Science Teaching at primary level

This study aims at investigating the effect of a role play Programme on Gujarati students learning social science at primary level. The sample of the study consisted of 140 students randomly selected from two schools and assigned to experimental and control groups. Data were collected within a week period via a pre-posttest design.

EFFECTIVENESS OF CAI PACKAGE ON LEARNING OF BLOOM'S TAXONOMY OF B.Ed STUDENTS

This study attempts to develop the learning of Bloom's taxonomy among B.Ed students using CAI package. An experimental study was conducted among B.Ed trainees to find out the effectiveness of the CAI package, at Suraj College of Education, Melathangal, Tamilnadu, India which was considered taken as the sample for the study. The sample was divided into two groups consisting of 35 students in each group. The study results revealed that experimental group and control group students did not differ in their pre-test scores , which was measured using achievement test.

Effectiveness of Computer Based Instruction (CBI) on Achievement in Mathematics of Secondary School Students

This study attempted to find the effect of Computer Based Instruction (CBI) on achievement in mathematics of secondary school students. An experimental study was conducted using two equivalent group design among IX standard students in R.A.N. Matriculation school, Kavarapetti, Thiruvallur district, Tamilnadu, India. The sample was divided into two groups, each consisting of 35 students. The effectiveness of CBI was measured using gain scores (difference between pre-test Post-test scores) of both the groups.

A STUDY OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF COMPUTER PROGRAMME IN SOCIAL SCIENCE

The main objective of the present study was to determine the effect of Computer programme in Social Science education on 8th Standard students’ academic achievement. Random sampling technique was used for selecting the sample. The total sample was that of 80 students. The Researcher used Computer programme as Research tool, self made Achievement test and Opinionnaire were used as tools for data collection. Researcher used Experimental Research method and "Pre-test Post-test Equivalent group Design” in the present study.

Critical Thinking Skills of Higher Secondary Students in relation to Achievement in Physics

Critical thinking is a higher order cognitive skill which helps in processing the information. The focus of the study is to examine the relationship between critical thinking skills and achievement in the physics of the higher secondary students in which the sample consisted of 300 higher secondary students from Villupuram District of Tamil Nadu by using the stratified sample technique. Murthy critical thinking scale (2015) was used to collect the data.

TEACHING STRATEGY PREFERENCES OF ENGLISH MAJOR STUDENTS: A CASE OF ISABELA STATE UNIVERSITY

This study was conducted to determine the students’ preferred teaching strategies used by English teachers at the College of Arts and Sciences, Isabela State University Echague Campus this 2nd Semester of the Academic Year 2015-2016. It used the descriptive method to describe the attributes of the respondents and was correlated to the students’ preferred teaching strategies used by English teachers and inferential method of research to test the hypothesis of the study.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS OF TASKS IN THE EXERCISE BLOCKS OF MATHEMATICS TEXTBOOK OF SECONDARY SCHOOLS OF UGANDA

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the tasks included in the exercise blocks of a mathematics textbook of secondary school of Uganda for performance expectations. The tasks in the textbook (Secondary School Mathematic Students’ Book 2) were analysed using a framework developed from TIMSS mathematics framework 2011.

The study examinedthe extent existing Policies in Uganda Facilitate Education and Learning of Children with Special Needs In Inclusive Primary Schools.The objectives of this study were: to find out the level of awareness of the policies in Uganda that support education among the respondent, to study the extent to which the existing policies’ has facilitated learning of children with special needs and to identify how policies has supported education of children with special needs in Uganda.
